Garden of your heart

Back to the grind....

but I am so glad!  I am a person who likes structure and routine.  :)

We had a wonderful vacation at my aunt's and uncles home.  We went into San Francisco on the one day it did not rain.  We rested well!  We had fun!  We came home refreshed!

This next week will be busy for us with Women's Bible Study starting back up and the new small groups at church starting up.  We are starting a study "A Woman of Prayer" with the women's study.  I will be sharing more on prayer later on, but this should be a great study.  The small group that is meeting in our home will be a wonderful thing.  We have 6 other couples joining us.  We are so looking forward to deepening relationships, praying for one another and encouraging them.  :)

I am still struggling through my "simplified life" for this year.  It's mostly a struggle for me to know what to say yes to and what to say no to. This will be a huge challenge for me, I am sure!  My husband asked me yesterday, what is important in life.  I answered "Living for Jesus and loving others."  He smiled!  I said,  then I don't have to clean house!  Hee! Hee!  He said, no that is part of your Living for Jesus.  You know, when it really boils down to things it is really that simple.....yet can be challenging because their are so many need in this world (and in my influence of people) that it is a struggle.  I can't meet every need....but Jesus can!  :)  So, where I need to spend more time in prayer and listening to Him is which needs am I supposed to help meet, and which are others to meet. Does this make sense?  I am basically "talking outloud" right now.  I am sure I can't be the only one that struggles with this?  Anyone else?????

Have a blessed day and lets remember what is important!  What is important to you?

I haven't wanted to get up early and do my exercises lately. It is something I have struggled with.....until I heard someone on the radio say she was the best mommy and housekeeper she could be because she did it all unto the glory of God. WOW. It hit me that I could do the same, as well as do my daily early morning walking and exercising unto the glory of God!!! It has been a true eye opener for me. It is not like I had never heard this before, but I had never heard it put quite the way she put it.

God's Blessings,
Amy Jo

Thanks for passing along the link to your blog. I really enjoyed it. I wish I could remember who you were. I'm assuming if I saw you, I'd remember. Nevertheless, you sound like someone I really would have enjoyed knowing in college. It is so exciting to know that there are people who are truly sincere and excited about their faith in Christ. Your blog oozes with sincere faith. I LOVE it!!!!
