Stressing unnecessarily!

I am so good at stressing unnecessarily! You know, when you are good at something you have to do it often!

Today we had a leak in the bathroom under the sink, and at the same time our family showed us a little bulge in the ceiling that appeared like a potential roof leak!

The Dr. has told my dad he cannot go on a roof anymore, and my brother-in-law does not have insurance and is starting a job on Monday, so I didn't really want him on the roof, so I DID IT! Yep, I climbed up the ladder....slowly....very slowly....I stood at the roof and realized....there is no way I can do this. I climbed back down. Then after a while I whispered a prayer for strength and climbed and got on the roof. I did a couple repairs (nothing major) and looked around the whole roof to see if there is any potential problems. Then....they decided it wasn't from a leak, it was probably loose drywall tape due to all the people using that bathroom now (steam from the shower, heater, etc). Couldn't they figure that out before I went up there?

It was scary climbing down but I DID IT! It feels good to do something that overcomes a fear!

I like to know how to fix things at my place to save money! My husband wasn't home for all of this because he was at work. But, he did thank me for "stressing him out" about all the money it was going to cost to "replace our roof" which is what I told him we would probably have to do! Yes....just a slight exaggeration!

Oh wow - that's so cool! I absolutely refuse to go up on the roof - you did great!
