The So. California fires...

have been so devastating for so many!   One of the ladies at our church has her parents living with her now due to them losing their home in the mountains.  Others we know have bags packed and are ready to go in case they need to evacuate.  Such a tough time for them! 

Right now the smoke is overhead in our area.  My dad is off to visit relatives because he has lung and heart problems.  I too am susceptable to having lung problems, as four years ago when we had a fire in the same area, I developed pneumonia due to the smoke.  So, I am staying inside. 

As you think of it, please pray for those who are experiencing such a terrible loss.   I was brought to tears watching many people return to their homes on T.V. and say that it's the memories that can't be replaced...photo's, a precious heirloom, etc. 

What a reminder for all of us to be careful to NOT put our hope, our security, or our dependence on things of this world.   For where our treasure is, there will our heart be also.  (Matthew)

So today, let's put our treasure, our heart, our hope, our security and our dependance on Jesus!
