Wonderful getaway!

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful getaway to Lake Arrowhead.  We love to stay at this one hotel and have been doing this for years.  We stay in one of the cottages there.  It is so restful!  We spend lots of time together.  We walk around the village (spending most of the time in the Christian Bookstore that is there).  We usually purchase books and spend a lot of time reading.  It is restful!  It is good for our marriage as we have time to talk and evaluate how are marriage is doing.  It is a wonderful getaway for us!    I enjoyed  the wonderful jacuzzi tub...so restful....Calgon take me away!  :) 

I purchased a book called "Power Through Prayer" By E.M. Bounds.  I am almost finished with it.  It is good and I definately recommend it for those looking for a book on prayer!    It is written for Pastor's but truly would be good for anyone!  Our desperate position requires us to be on our knees in prayer.  We need Him!  Jesus would get up really early in the morning and prayer.  Some of the most well known missionaries and Christians were so devoted to prayer.  They would spend hours a day in prayer!  What a challenge to me!!!!!

So glad you two were able to get some alone time, I really hope that things are going well with the arrangements at home. Dave and I could use some time alone to veg and talk for sure, I don't know if that'll happen til next summer, but the 2 weeks we were blessed with last summer was such a wonderful time together-I pray God will allow more time like that for us again soon!

Next time you need to get away, you guys are very welcome to come this way...however, Im not sure how restful it will be. ; )

g, we were hoping to go by there while we were on break but we ended up sick for the first week. So....our vacation was laying in bed watching movies! LOL! It would have been more fun to see you!
