I have decided that it would be helpful for me to post the menu for the week. I have a new challenge of cooking lowfat/low sodium meals for my dad and my dh and I are trying to lose weight, so it is good for us too! What I always find as a challenge is converting favorite meals into this alternative type meals. I am going to try! Monday: Salmon Patties (oven baked) for dad, Halibut for Shane and I, Salad, rolls (My dad's favorite dressing is Thousand Island....so I will make it with lowfat mayo, low sodium ketchup, garlic powder, pepper). Tuesday: Stew Beef and noodles, cooked carrots Wednesday: Tostada's (I will use lowfat/low sodium cheddar cheese) Thursday: leftovers (probably will have stew beef leftover) Friday: BBQ Chicken (I will use Robbie's BBQ Sauce that has no sugar and is low sodium), Potato Salad, Green Beans Saturday: Chicken Fajita's (I will season it myself so that it doesn't have salt) Sunday: Party for my niece at friends home (Dad: probably Sandwich or something he likes)
