Schedule? What's that? and Husband Appreciation

07:51, Friday, July 13, 2007 .. 1 comments .. Link

If you remember, I put the strict schedule that I was going to have for the summer.  I am just kind of laughing now.....what was I thinking?  My dh has been home all summer.  We have stayed up much later (watching a movie, reading, etc),  playing chess or checkers in the middle of the day, running a few errands here and there that weren't planned, etc.  It's been an enjoyable summer with my dh home.  He has 2 1/2 weeks before he has to go back full-time and a few days of meetings before that.  So.....I have decided that I am just going to enjoy the time with my dh, not stress about trying to have EVERYTHING done, but enjoy the quality time.  I have some tasks that need to do within the next couple weeks:

1.  Finish decluttering the spare rooms (I am almost done.....need 1-2 days more...but haven't had time).

2.  Canning as the produce comes in.  Today I canned 7 quarts of green beans.   A couple days ago I froze about 3 quarts of beans.    I have been freezing summer squash too!

3.  Read two books:   Lies Women Believe and the Truth that Sets them Free by Nancy Leigh DeMoss and Get Out of the Pit by Beth Moore.

So........with all these things and wanting to enjoy this extra time with my dh.....I may not blog for a couple weeks.  Beginning August, I will be able to get back to a normal schedule, spending time on the computer a bit, and managing time better!  :)

In the meantime, I want to encourage you (if you are married) to give your spouse a big hug and let them know how much you appreciate them.

I appreciate my husband because:

1.  He is loving (continously)

2.  He is a godly man with a heart for God's Word (he is so faithful to read it every day)

3.  He is a great provider and so willing to let me stay home and be a homemaker (my dream).

4.  He cares so much for his family and mine.

5.  He is faithful

6.  He is kindhearted and gentle

7.  He is so patient (God knew that I needed a man like that....because I can push the patience)

I could go on...but today I am just feeling so appreciative!  I love you Shane!  :)
