Busy Week

Hi!  It's been a busy week!  This is Shane's last week of work for this school year.  Today was the last day with the kids.  I went in to help out with the party, clean his classroom and pack things for him.  The kids of course were extremely excited....but secretly I think the teachers are more excited about summer break!  :)  Shane will be off for 6.5 weeks unless we are blessed with him teaching summer school.  We still haven't heard, so it doesn't appear it will happen.  We really needed it this year, but we know that God has been faithful to provide for us over and over again!  I have learned to cut expenses in so many ways, and I keep looking for more.  Learning to live the simple life!  :) 

My garden is doing so well.  We have tomato's growing.  I can't wait to sink my teeth into the first homegrown tomato!  So yummy!  The green beans are getting close to budding!  The zucchini is  getting ready to flower, and so are the potato's.  Oh boy!  I will be busy soon canning and freezing. 

It was about 101 degrees today!  Only 16 degrees warmer than what I prefer!  LOL!  I felt like I was melting today!  Thank the Lord we have an evaporative cooler. 

I would love to have anyone post comments of ways you cut expenses in your home!   I am looking for more ways.....anything other than telling my dh he can't eat us out of house and home!
