The Value of Friendships!

I have enjoyed doing this blog!  It has opened up a new way to keep in touch with longtime friends and meet new online friends!  :)  

Today I am really excited because I am going to Northern California to meet up with my best friend from college.   She is visiting family!  We will get Saturday together to chat away!  :)  What a blessing this is!  This will be the fourth time I have seen her since college (22 years ago).  We talk frequently on the phone and through e-mails but what a wonderful blessing this will be to talk face to face.   We have been through everything together....from a distance!  We have prayed for one another, cried on each other's shoulder (on the phone), encouraged one another, supported each other, etc.  It reminds me of Proverbs 18:24b "...there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."  She has been that for me. 

I also realized how blessed I am with special friends!   I have friends who have moved all over the country and we may not keep in touch all the time, but when we do, we are able to pick up where we left off.  What a blessing each of you are to me!  :)  Whether we have been long time friends or just getting to know each other, friends are important to me!  My life is so much better with each of you in it!  :)

In case any of you are worried about what Shane will do while my friend and I talk, talk, talk...no fear...he and my uncle are going to the Giants/A's game in San Francisco!  He will be having a blast!   We also look forward to spending some time with my aunt and uncle.  They are so special to us!  :) 

I pray each of you are as blessed as I am in the area of friendships!  What a God-given treasure I have in my friends!  I value you all!

I was sorta hoping you guys would make it over this way too.

We are looking forward to spending time with you guys as well, but unfortunately...Dave is finding it hard to get any time off.

we wish we could have stopped to see you guys too! It was just too short of time to do it all! If you can't make it this way (which it sounds like you won't) we will see what we can do to get up there to see you! We miss you guys!

We dont know when, but we'll get up there some time next month! Glad you had a good time, I know how hard those short visits are though, and that's a really long drive from your place to Frisco...whoa!
