Garden of your heart

It's that time again.....

to begin to set goals for the new year!  Last year I set a goal of living a more simplified life.  I think I have definately done that throughout the year.  Because of that, it is helping me to see my roles more clearly for this next year.   Here are the roles that I am thankful that God has given me.

1.  God's child! 

2.  Wife

3.  Homemaker

4.  Bible Study Leader at church

5.  Daughter/Daughter-in-law

6.  Sister/Sister-in-law

7.  Aunt

8.  Friend

As I am praying through my roles and looking at the year ahead, I am just asking God to help guide and direct me in the areas He wants me to grow in, change in, etc.   I will be posting my 2009 goals probably tomorrow after I finish writing them.  How about you?  I know many don't like resolutions, I don't either.  But I do know that goals are great any time of the year!  I find in my life if I don't try to shoot for a goal, I will never accomplish anything, or if I do, I will never realize it!   So, I will be back soon with an update and some 2009 goals and reflections on 2008!
