Not For The Faint Of Heart.....

Remodeling an old house is an on going project. More ongoing than most would want! It seems as if everytime your going to redo just one thing in one area, it ALWAYS leads to more things HAVING to be done . We were just going to redo the kitchen ceiling, just the ceiling mind you but in the process one of the cupboards basicly fell apart sooooooooo everything that was in the cupboard is now living on the counter. We have "new" cupboards to put up but it didnt' make much sense to put up the cupboards untill we got the walls behind redone sooooooo we had a choice.....live with a totally unusable counter, put up the cupboards only to take them down again when we had the funds to buy the stuff to redo the walls or go to the homestore and get what we needed to redo the walls. We decided to redo the walls now while the kitchen is sorta torn up so materials needed for the walls is our Aniversery present to ourselves. Hope nothing else goes wrong or we will have an aniversery,Christmas, birthday( and what ever other holiday we can think of) kitchen. Hope ya'll had a Hippy Skippy  Thanksgiving.

Another fun part of remodeling is finding creative places to PUT all the materials needed for pending projects..Like ummm the hallway by the stairs...ya that will work...

I really admire yall taking on such big projects around the house. You know it will look so nice when you're done! We recently painted our dark paneling and added new carpet and I was ever so glad to get that behind us. What a nightmare!

I know what you mean, and I have the new basement to prove it. ~SCF
