We added a new face to our farm this past weekend. May I present Thadeus M. Duck....Handsome boy eh?
His wing looks short because we clipped it . We wouldn't want him flying away before he met the lovely ducky ladies now would we. We also bought a purebred Saanen buckling to add to our goat herd. He is still on the bottle so it will be awhile before he comes home.Sometimes I wonder if I have lost what little mind I have left. I know I have to recognise my limitations and I know the added males will increase the work load but I still add them. I know I will have to keep up on finding the duck nests or I will be over run with ducks but I also know that if I dont' add the male we will not have any to eat. I know adding the buck will greatly increase the goat population and I WILL have to sell some for meat but I also know ..no kids..no milk...plus there is the garden,the mowing,the housework,the remodeling and on and on...I guess if I wake up dead one morning, I will know it is time to stop eh?

Mighty handsome duck you have there. Sounds like you have lots to do but it sound like you must enjoy every minute of it.
