We had a new visitor to our feeder yesterday morning. A nice Evening Grossbeak. We dont' have a lot of feeders out but do enjoy the one we have. It is right in front of the dinning room window so we get a great look at our feathered friends who visit . The birds dont' seem to mind the cats sitting there watching them too or maybe with the light on the outside of the window, they can't see the cats .
I would like to have a few more feeders and a bird bath but for now this is quite enjoyable.We live in a small river valley that is very wooded so we have many birds who call this area home. Some mornings the bird song is very loud. We dont' have traffic or city noise so the birds can really be heard! In winter Eagles call the stream just south of us "home" and they are very impressive birds close up!! Pretty awsome to go out your front door and see an Eagle up in your tree. Of course I never have my camara ready when that happens LOL...

What a great picture! You are so blessed to live in an area that many different birds like to visit. I would love to see an eagle in my yard. : ) We enjoy watching the birds here too. We just put up some bluebird boxes and hope that some will come visit us.
