Here are some pics I took the last couple of days. First is a pic of the dinning set my Wonderful  Honey bought me for an Easter  gift.

One of these things is not like the others..........

I  was  trying to get some pics of our barn rats. They are plump lil corn fed rodents and are actually kinda cute. Any big snake owners out there want to buy some all natural corn fed rats????????

A couple of goat  pictures......

Here's the Chickens....We only have  three left. The rest have died of old age.

And last but not least ..VanDeusen's  Country Road Jillian..Soon to be a momma....

I plan on getting some chicks and rebuilding our  flock when I get back from My niece's wedding . I will leaving this Tues. and will be in So Calif. for two weeks. I am going to try to find a niche market for all natural chevon/cabra. All natural chevon is quite pricey so I think if I can develop a small local market the goats just might pay for themselves......maybe

Spring is here. Now i know this far north we can have snow till the end of April and our last frost date is May15th but Winter will be over. I decided to try to raise some herbs and start the seeds indoors. I have tried this before and it has been a dismal failure but I am basicly an optimist so I bought lil soil filled plugs that you water and they expand. The came in a lil try greenhouse thingy and I have never tried these before so ..we will see. I followed the directions and they are sitting on top of the fridge where it is warmish.

Now you may wonder why the Raid flea spray is in the pic. I have found it is the best product for flea proofing your home but No, I dont' have fleas ...yet.... I use this for any small bugs that attack my house plants in winter. Like white flies or spider mites. Raid has a fine mist spray almost like a fog so it surrounds and gets under the leaves. Now for the Happiest Springy Thing.....I was upstairs in a closet looking for something and when I came down there was a bouquet of flowers laying on my dinning room table. The florist must of come while i had my head in the closet. I love small town living where people feel free to deliver things inside if needed. The dog is with my honey so I had no clue anyone was here.( which may have been good for the florist )

What a sweet Honey God has given me and Happy Spring Ya'll!!!!!

Today a window in our dinning room became a door. Last summer we built a deck on the west side of our house and decided it would be wonderful to have a door to the deck soooo. Taa Daaaaaa. The pics are a lil dark but if you look close you can see the change. I wish I would have thought of taking pics before and while Eric was taking all the trim off. The trim is from when the house was built in 1889 and if we can't use it it will be up for sale.

This year I thought I'd take some pics just after snow melt. Then take some of the same area through out the spring and summer....Yep, things are kinda boring this time of year. The turkeys, ducks and chickens are really wanting out of the barn but with the Bald Eagles still so close that may not be a good idea. The other day one was perched right over our mail box and when my honey went to get the mail, it swooped right by him and took off. I never seem to have a camara when we get up close and personal with the Eagles!
