A close-up pic as requested by Marilyn at heritagehill....

I am posting a closer pic of the lasso wreath I made for my cowboy themed christmas one year. It is made from an old lasso given to me by a friend, garland I made using twine and tying "bows" into it using bandana material, a star made of rusty barbed wire in the middle and an old horseshoe hanging by twine in the center of it all.

Here is the pic...

I made this year before last, and have it hanging somewhere in my  house all year long....I just love it!

Thanks for visiting.

Thanks! I saw a picture of one a few years ago and made something similar. I redid it this year. Mine is a grapevine type wreath, and I tie a bandana around it for a bow. Horseshoe used to hang in the center like yours, but this year I wired 2 on one side and a bigger one on the other. I hung a old bit in the center. I love the star out of barb wire.......I actually had seen a small star out of barb and thought that would be neat to make, but did not think about using it on the wreath......may just try to do that this week yet. I thought it needed some little extra at the top so just stuck in a pick of greenery and holly. Not sure I like that?
Thanks for visiting my blog.
