If you don't know by now, I love to write these crazy titles to my blogs just to make you think, what is she talking about, and making you read them. LOL
Well I had a large list of things to do in the bedroom (which is also partly office and craft room at this time until all rooms are done getting painted and carpeted upstairs), and I hate to tell you that not even half of them got done. For some reason, I can get alot done during the week with a 2 year old around me, but when hubby is home, I can't seem to get a darn thing done! Is anyone else like this??? So, I am in the bedroom cleaning up, reorganizing and such, and in the very next ajoining room (we had up the baby gate though) is Matthew on the laptop and Noah sitting at his table with crayons and a coloring book. I asked Matthew if he could keep an eye on Noah and he said SURE! Needless to say, later, when walking into the living room, I saw crayon marks all over Noah's new wooden table (I just bought it Thrusday and it was only brought into the house from the car today), a huge mark on the floor with blue crayon, and blue crayon on Noah's teeth!!! I should have taken a picture of the blue teeth, but didn't think about it until I had wiped it off with a wipey. Matthew did finally scrub (after being reminded 4 times. LOL) the table and the marks on the carpet and thankfully since they were Crayola crayons and washable, the marks came right off.
My friend Jen decided she was going to Wal-Mart (a 25 minute drive) and I went with her this evening. We left early and I treated her to BBQ and then we went to Wal-Mart for some needed shopping. (She is babysitting Noah next weekend, so I paid for her dinner tonight in payment of that.) I got a new rug for my laundry area, a few groceries and snacks, and a new iced tea maker. I am so excited to use the new iced tea maker. I have had one for years, but it is getting stained so badly, so I splurged a little on that. LOL
Matthew and Noah's little project of planting Morning glories is going well. He planted some, waiting about 5 days, and then planted some more. We want the pot completely full of them! I can't wait to see them bloom!!! Noah thinks it is funny how they turn towards the light coming through the window!!
Now, about tarter sauce......he is my new maroon colored Betta fish! LOL I decided to splurge a little more today and bought a new betta (I accidentially starved the last one to death. I forgot about him!) today. We have a beautiful vase with some rocks at the bottom and a blank growing out of it where the old betta lived. I will clean it up a bit and put Tarter Sauce in it tomorrow. I walked in the house and introduced Matthew to the fish and you should have seen the look on his face!!! Before he could even say it, I exclaimed, I WILL FEED THIS ONE!!! LOL He laughed and looked at Jen and she said keep me out of this! LOL He doesn't really care if we have a fish, but he will I am sure be reminding me to feed him often (and yes I remembered to buy the fish some food as well)
Tomorrow our plans are to go to church, come home and eat lunch and do some more cleaning up on the bedroom and the kitchen. My mission or goal is to still get all the lower level rooms of the house cleaned up before next weekend when Jen will be staying here at the house for one night with Noah while we go to the city for our anniversary. Wish me luck!!! LOL
I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!! |
