Our stimulus check is here!!!!!!!!

Our stimulus check arrived (direct deposit) on Saturday.  I didn't find out until today because our weekend was so busy and I wasn't on the computer.  I am so excited though, because we have been discussing all the repairs and such we want to do on the house to get it ready to sell and one of those include................buying a dishwasher!!!!!  YIPEEEEEE!  So Matthew is looking at them today (at Lowe's) and hopefully we will be able to have it delivered sometime this week!!!!

If any of you have recieved your check, or even if you are still waiting on it, what do you expect to do with your money????  Setting it back for a rainy day, or spending it on a summer vacation?? Paying off a credit card, or stocking up on groceries???  I am just curious what everyone else is doing.

Well, we still haven't received ours yet, but when we do, it's going to help pay for the trip to pick up son in WA and see grandson. That is, if it gets here before I have to leave LOL. If not, then it will probably go towards either the tractor or stocking up on meat.

Well for me and my family we will use it to:
1. give a tithe to the church
2. put some back for bills, I want to have a little put back for those hard times
3. I am going to try to stock up on some groceries and supplies we need here.
4. We are plannning on ordering some baby chickens, ducks, and turkeys. Also we will get a couple female rabbits and one male rabbit for breeding.
5. The children all need shoes and underclothing.
6. Some sewwing items
These are a few things that we plan on doing.
Have a blessed day.

I was suposed to get ours last Friday, but alas it didn't come in. I heard that if you file with a company, H and R Block, Jackson Hewit ect. your check will be much later. Not sure what that has to do with it but.......
Anywho, when we do get it in, we are painting the outside of our house. It is in such need of a fresh coat, almost to the point of embarrasment, LOL. ...not kidding either, ...........Kitty

Honey........mine is gone gone gone.
It dropped into my account on Friday, May 2nd, and as of yesterday, Monday May 12, it's gone.

How did we spend it?
We had the septic tank emptied, we replaced the windshield that was terribly broken (for over a year) on the van, we bought everything we need to replace the timing belt (and other belts) on the van, I did a *little* stock up at Sams, paid off the Lowes credit card (240.00), spent $40.00 at Target on a couple of games for the kids..................and it's gone.
And it was 1800.00.

It is stunning and stupifying how fast you can spend 1800.00.
And not on foolish stuff either!

I wanted to first thank you for your kind comment on my blog. It was a great blessing!

As for the stimulus check, we will not be getting our until the end of the month. When it does come in, 1400 of it will be put directly into our savings account which we have our car payment withdrawn from. We could send the money straight to the lender, but we're trying to build our credit.

The remainder of what is left will be spent on stocking up on groceries, bills, and I have decided that I am going to get my hair permed. I've tried to keep it natural for a long time, but it's long and lifeless and I just don't have time to fix it every day, and hubby commented that he likes my hair with a bit of curl to it.

Lord willing, we may be using it for moving expenses if my parents are able to help us buy a home as they would like to.

Blessings, sara
