It has been a difficult day anyway (my dear friend had to go to court today over a restraining order that kicked her and her 5 children out of the house, because her hubby is accusing her of abusive. Of course it is nonsense but they still had to go to court about it. I went along for moral support and the case was postponed till next week sometime. She was a wreck today over it.) and then we received bad news on our arrival back from court.
We walked in our friend Tammy's house and she started crying as we reached the kitchen. She told us she had really bad news and told us Miss Betty had died of a massive heart attack earlier that morning. (We had seen emergency vehicles near where her apartment is when we were going to court this morning and had no idea it was for her.) Miss Betty was the mother of a highschool girlfriend and she has the sweetest personality. She was a helper and a giver and she had the sweetest most honset spirit you could ever find. Her daughter and she never really got along and I don't understand that, because Miss Betty (we have all always called her that! LOL), was such a blessing. She gave of herself and mostly her time to any need or cause that was out there. She babysit, helped take people to the hospital if needed and even practically moved in with my friend Laurie when she was on bedrest and then when she delivered her baby a couple of months early and took care of her two older daughters. She was amazing!!! She wasn't sick as far as we know, but that heart attack took her just like that.
We know that she is better off where she is now in heaven, but we grieve the loss of her non the less. Please keep her family, her church family, and her "girls" at the church in your prayers. Many are so distraught over her loss.
God's Blessings,
