I got a message today from one of my former youth (I used to volunteer in our youth group in church) ladies. They are having the memorial service for her father tomorrow. Her dad took his life this last week!!! Can you imagine loosing your father from suicide at the age of 21??? This is all the facts I know so far. I am still trying to reach her after receiving her message.
My heart aches for her and her family. Bless her heart, she sounds like she is holding up well (from the short message I recieved), but who really knows. Please keep my Patrice and her family in your thoughts and prayers this week.
This just adds another person to the list of people in my circle who have died, or have lost a father! I have lots of families who I am praying for as they are still grieving for family members.
Another prayer request: My friend Amy is due with her 3rd child at the end of this month. However, they are seriously thinking of taking the baby at 37 weeks because she has had the flu so bad. She has been hospitalized for it and is still not feeling much better. She has had two difficult pregnancies before, but carried them 39 weeks and they were healthy. I told her they took Noah at 37 weeks and he was just fine, no problems whatsoever, but she is concerned about it, and the family is now on their second round of the awful flu going around (hubby and both of the boys were sick while she was in the hospital as well, got over it and now have it again).
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers to my friends today!!! |
Tuesday, March 25, 2008 - prayers for your friends
Verse 1
Does Jesus care when my heart is pained too deeply for mirth or song; As the burdens press, and the cares distress, and the way grows weary and long?
Verse 2
Does Jesus care when my way is dark with a nameless dread and fear? As the daylight fades Into deep night shades, Does He care enough to be near?
Verse 3
Does Jesus care when I've tried and failed to resist some temptation strong; when for my deep grief there is no relief, Tho' my tears flow all the night long?
Verse 4
Does Jesus care when I've said "good-by" to the dearest on earth to me, and my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks, is it aught to Him? Does He care?
Chorus
O yes, He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief; When the days are weary, The long nights dreary, I know my Savior cares.
I pray you have a good day. It seems like you've had such a tough time lately, so I'm praying for joy for you and your family and friends!
