Our church started a non for profit radio station about 5 years ago.  Every year, they have when we call Share-A-Thon where they take pledges for money for the station to pay for the bills for the follwoing year.  Share-A-Thon lasts only a few days.  It takes about $500.00 to run the station for one day, and some pledge to take care of a whole day, a half day, an hour, or just a specific amount per month, etc.

Yesterday as Marcia and I were out freezer shopping they were asking for pledges (which we have done for the past several years anyway) and Ean, our friend and morning DJ at The Wave Radio, was answering the phones.  He said the first person to call in would get a free CD.  So of course I grabbed my cell and dialed quickly. 

Ean recognized me and we chatted for a moment before he told me I won the new Sarah Groves CD for being the first caller, plus.....I won 3 books  (all three are signed by the authors as well).....plus......someone offered a challange of meeting all pledges made during the 12-1 lunch hour.  So our $25.00 a month donation instantly became a $50.00 a month donation.  Isn't that awesome???

I don't normally win these types of things, but I won several things yesterday, and Matthew and I had already decided we would donate to the cause anyway.  God blessed us for our obedience in this!!!
