Spring break should be exciting this year. We will be hosting two college gals (21 year olds) in our house for about a week. If you have read any of my beginning blogs, you know that we had a gal named Sarah stay at our house for a month before classes began this last spring. We didn't have a wonderful experience out of it, but we survived (and I vented here), and afterwards, when she asked to stay at our house over Christmas break (for several weeks) I said no. I had to gently explain to her that it didn't work, I can't do it because my own family and household come first and then when she pressed me for more details I told her NO! (Which was a major accomplishment for me.......I am weak at saying no to others) I finally told her she was inconsiderate while here and I was so stressed while she was here that I could not put my husband or son through "Mad mommy" again! She was hurt, but she got over it. LOL (Sorry to sound so uncaring here. I care for this girl very much....she is like a younger sister to me. We love her enough to tell her she needs to improve!)
She planned on staying during spring break with her sister (she and her sister are triplets....the third is a brother) and bring her girlfriend along (who will be visiting from Illinois). Her sister all of a sudden said no you can't stay here, I am stressed, and I don't want to talk to anyone for 2 weeks! LOL I am not sure exactly what is going on, but well....we have all been stressed and I don't think it is healthy that the girls be there while her sister is having one of those moments!
So Matthew and I thought about it and prayed about it and I called Sarah and told her to come stay with us during Spring Break and bring Mia too. I have known Mia for as long as I have known Sarah and am very close to her as well. The girls will be so busy with activities, movies, friends, etc. they won't be here much anyway! LOL I told them I will give them a key and to be quiet if they come in late but I know they will!
On Wednesday we are having a little dinner party for the girls and a few extra girlfriends. We planned this so everyone could see Mia while she is in town, but now it will be even funner with the girls staying here. Mia loves to come here and begs me to cook and bake for her while here. Of course Sarah doesn't mind some home cooking either and since both are college students who live on junk food primarily, it isn't hard to impress them with homemade pizza, roast, or even spaghetti! They love my hotrolls (everyone does), so I will bake off a large pan while they are here.
I can't wait to see the girls!!! I haven't seen either of them since Christmas!!! I don't have any sisters, so I kinda adopted these girls and love to spoil them while they are here! So glad we have the extra bedroom and bathroom upstairs for their use!!
Gods' Blessings,
