I love the weekend because Matthew doesn't usually work and can stay home and spend some quality time with me and Noah. This weekend though, like many others, I have spent catching up on the laundry, the dishes, and anything else that I have let go during the week. I feel like I run all weekend long sometimes!!!
So, the laundry is done and mostly put away (hubby's job is to carry all those heavey clothes on hangers and put them in our closets), dishes are almost caught up (hubby told me to go sit down and rest because my shoulder blades and lower back have been giving me problems, and I desperately need to see the chiropractor this week) and put away and the dining room table actually got cleaned off too!!! (We haven't seen what color it was for over a week now! LOL)
Every week I swear I am not going to do this to myself again!!! And every week I let myself down!!! I am not putting my best foot forward and helping myself out during the week enough. I take care of everyone and everything, but I need to take care of me by taking care of these chores according to my cleaning schedule and be able to take the weekend off as planned!!! (I have a weekly house cleaning schedule in which two rooms in the house get cleaned each day and if followed I can take the weekend off except for cooking and dishes) Hubby and I have made a plan to get the dishes caught up each night before going to bed. We might switch off, on who does them, or we might both wash and dry them, etc. but they will absolutely be done every night before we turn in for bed from now on!!!! Laundry should never get backed up in this house either with only 3 of us!!! If I do one load of laundry 3 or 4 days out of the week, I wouldn't have to do any over the weekend!!! So I am trying to implement the cleaning schedule along with a few simple goals and rules this week. We will see how it works!! Wish me luck!!!
All in all, even with the chores, Matthew and I have had a great weekend. Matthew worked on the phone line in the living room yesterday and got it fixed finally. (old house, old wiring and telephone lines....need I say more??? LOL) Tonight we had a wonderful pork loin dinner with veggies straight from the crockpot and since the dining room table was all cleaned off, we got to eat at the table!!!!! Noah is getting to be a picky eater and wouldn't eat the pork loin or the veggies, but he ate the bread and apple butter that Matthew fixed him! LOL
Well all, I am off to get a few things done before bedtime. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!!

I have felt the same way! I usually end up spending Sunday afternoons folding and putting away 8-9 loads of laundry!
