Are you a victim of Busy-itis??? Do you rush through your day taking care of the kids, the husband, the house, the bills, etc. and rarely take time for yourself???? Most of you are probably nodding while I reading this. I am one of those too. I am not always the first one up in the house, but usually the last one to bed, readying things for tomorrow's day.
Pastor recently challanges us to spend time rejuvenating ourselves through prayer time with God and taking some sollitude time for ourselves. Perhaps this is while eating a muffin adn drinking tea in the morning, or at the end of the day while enjoying a bubble bath. But whenever it is, whatever it is, we all need to refuel. Just as our bodies need food, our spirits need spiritual food, and our bodies need rest. I am one of those moms who needs some quiet time during the day to myself to get through the day. I realized this when Noah decided to take an hour nap instead of two hours. LOL But I have tried to restructure my cleaning schedule and still work in a bit of me time.
One idea I had this weekend for some me time (with some girlfriends perhaps) is a spa night. I bought some inexpensive spa facial treatments and will have some of my own favorites on hand for others to try. My mom gave me a foot bath massager and I thought we could get it out and soak our feet before doing pedicures as well. We have an upstairs bathroom and spare bedroom, so we might just take over the upstairs and let hubby and our little Noah stay downstairs and play. There is a tv in that room, and we could simply move a DVD/VCR player in and watch a chick flick as well. I was thinking about having everyone bring a snack and I will provide drinks and some fluffy towels and wash clothes for everyone. I love hosting any kind of gathering at my house, but especially girl nights!!! LOL
Does anyone have any more good ideas for a girls night out, or in????
God's Blessings,
