Good Saturday Afternoon

Shortly after waking up hubby cooked some of the best peanut butter cookies you have ever had!!!  Oh my they are seriously my favorite.  He loves working at the large family griddle we have and entertaining our toddler by flipping the pancakes.  Sometimes he puts chocolate chips in them, but he didn't know I had moved them and didn't put chocolate chips in the ones we ate, but after finding them, he put them in the ones we are freezing for breaskfast later this week.  It will be nice to grab a pancake out of the freezer and just warm it up for breakfast this week.  He made about 10 extra pancakes and they are anxiously awaiting to be eaten!  LOL

Hubby has been working on some phone lines today.  We live in a house originally built in 1910, and obviously no one who lived in the house since then knew what they were doing with wiring electricity or the phone lines.  We learned that there is one phone line starting in the basement and they took that line outside of the house, up the side of the house and then back in the 2nd story bedroom.  Then they took it inside the house, down into the floor of the upstairs bedroom, (which is the ceiling of our living room), and down the wall of the living room to the jack.  They did the same thing in the kitchen.  How nice of them to paint the phone wires on the outside of the house and the inside to make them match and try to conceal them though. LOL  You don't even want me to start telling you what they did with the elctrical wiring.  LOL  I am sure we will find more and more problems as we start to redo the kitchen later this year.

I am getting caught up on laundry and dishes today.  Matthew is doing his own projects around the house, so at least he isn't under foot and throwing me off my schedule like he did yesterday.  LOL  He was supposed to be helping a friend with some work today, but was called and told he wasn't needed today, so he is home for two days in a row.  We are enjoying having him at home and Noah is loving the extra time and attention from daddy!!!!  You should have seen the look on his face this morning when daddy came to get him up out of bed for the second day in a row.  A daddy and his son......it is just priceless!!!   I am so blessed to have these men in my life!!!

Laundry is well under way, and dishes are about half done, but with a sore back I have to do them in small sessions.  I need to get an appointment to see the chiropractor this week.  My chiropractor is awesome.  I am not like some who are nervous about seeing one.  He helps me out, and it is better than goign to a medical doctor for them to hand me a bottle of pills, x-rays and possible back surgery as has happened with my uncle and a few friends.  No way, not for me.  I know doctors have their place, but when it comes to health, I do the chiropractor first, and then the medical doctor.  Alot of times, my headaches are caused by something out of place.  And I have had a chiro work on me before to fix a sinus headache and a monthly period problem too!!!

So this evening, my friend Jen, who must be bored or something, LOL, is coming over.  She asked if she could bring some snacks and we could rent a movie.  This was last night when I thought hubby was going to be working all day so I said sure.  Hubby doesn't care though.  He said if he is done with projects he might join us, and if not, then he will come eat and then take off again.  I am changing the menu planner, and making BBQ beef sandwiches tonight for all of us.  They are yummy and so quick and easy too.  Maybe some fries, and whatever Jen is bringing (probably chips and white cheesey dip. YUM)  If I have time I will bake off some peanut butter cookies for us as well.

I am enjoying the sunshine today.  Just a few days ago the windchill here was -15 and it was bitter cold and snowing out.  Today the temp is up to the 40's and the sun is shining beautifully.  I have all the blinds and curtains opened to soak up some of this wonderful sunshine while it lasts.  The snow is gorgeous, but I am getting a little sick of the dreary days with no sun.  I am ready for some sunshine and warm weather, and I miss wearing my sandals and capris!!!! LOL  I can't wait for the trees to bud and the daffodils to pop up with the tulips and other flowers.  I just can't wait.

Well, I am off for now to get a few more things done with the dishes and laundry before the little one wakes from his nap.

Hope you all are enjoying the lazy Saturday afternoon like I am. (Even though I am not being lazy. LOL)

God's Blessings,

Amy Jo

Wow, can I relate about the phone wiring and electricity. Our house was built around the same time as your's was, and we find all kinds of interesting things behind the walls as far as electrical wiring goes! Anyway, the bulbs in the garden are sprouting little green stalks and I can't wait to see them bloom. Hurry up, Spring!
