Date Night

Hubby had the day off yesterday and we decided it would be a good day to find a babysitter for Noah and go out to eat and see a movie.  So that is just what we did yesterday.  My friend Jen came over and we went to the movies at 4, then ate at Applebee's, and then went to Wal-Mart to do out monthly grocery shopping.  We saw the movie Mad Money and it was pretty good, really funny, but definately doesn't teach you the morals of not stealing! LOL  

We had arranged for Jen to stay and put Noah to bed at his usual 8:30pm bedtime though, so we didn't have to rush and hurry with our evening out.  We hadn't been out to dinner or a movie on our own I don't think since Noah was born April 19, 2006!  LOL  Ok, it has probably been even longer than that.  LOL  We decided to splurge a little and do both last night, but we have decided not to eat out for a long time though.  We both were in the bathroom and had stomache aches the rest of the evening!!! YUCK! 

We were so happy to get home after all that walking and shopping in Wal-Mart though.  By the time we got home a little after 10 pm, we were both beat, but still had groceries and household supplies to put away.  Jen said Noah went down without any problems, didn't cry or whine a bit and immediately went to sleep.  He must have played hard with "Aunt Jen' because he was tired by bedtime!!!

Whiel at Wal-Mart, one of my favorite things to do is his the discount bin in the fabric and sewing department.  I found a remnant of a John Deere tractor print that whille match the other JD things I am making for Noah's bedroom, as well some others that I plan on making aprons, or small projects out of.  I bought 6-7 things from the discount bin. 

We had a great time out of the house without the little one, but I missed him terribly!!!  Matthew laughed at me when I said about 10 minutes into our evening, I miss my NOAH!! LOL  But I am glad Jen and Noah had so much fun, and now I know if needed we have someone who can care for him and put him to bed. 

I am looking forward to getting back to preparing dinner for my family tonight instead of eating out tonight. We are having spaghetti, green beans, and cheesy/garlic bread for dinner.  One of hubby's favorites and Noah will eat tons of just the bread if I let him!

Girl, I can't remember the last time my hubby and I had any type of "date" together. We are in our early 40s and are just such homebodies lately, LOL. That movie is one that I thought my dd and I could go see together. The last movie I went to was the Passion of Christ,hows that for never go out, lol.............Kitty
