Christmas Craftiness Goals

I wanted to fill you all in on some of my personal Christmas Craftiness Goals! One of my goals is to make as many of the Christmas gifts I give away as possible. I love being crafty and have gotten some really cute ideas from some friends and some bloggers here as well!!!
1. Finish sewing Noah (18 months old) his quilt for Christmas and his pillowcase. (I spent quite some time embroidering blocks for Noah which I found at a local Amish store. They are of the old fashioned Denim Dan....so cute. I plan on setting them together in red fabric)
2. Sew some rice filled heating pads for girlfriends. (I will fill mine with rice and some lavender and make them in plain fabric. Then I will make a separate cover out of fabric I have here at the house....leftovers from other projects and velcro them at the end so they can be easily removed for washing!)
3. Make cookies, breads and etc. for gifts for family and friends
4. Make Christmas aprons for neice and some others
5. Make pajamas for myself and Noah (I found the cutest blue flannel with yellow rubber duckies on it at Wal-Mart...so cute!) I will buy plan white or colored tshirts that match, and sew pockets on them to match the pajama pants.
Other Craftiness I will be working on is:
1. Making a baby blanket out of the leftover rubber duckie flannel for a baby to be born in February
2. Collect pictures and recipes from family members for a homemade scrabook recipe book for my neice who is getting married in 2008.
3. sewing curtain valances for our kitchen (found the cutest rooster fabric at Wal-Mart too!!)
4. Start making my yo-yo's into a pillow. For the past several years I have been making yo'yo's out of scraps when I am inbetween projects and was looking forward to making a coverlet. But I think I will start on a square pillow and see how that works first!
Well that is all for now!!
If you are reading this, please feel free to share with me what you might be making for friends or familymembers for Christmas!!!
God Bless,
Amy Jo
