I found this recipe in a magazine not long ago and decided to try it. I was impressed at how easy this was to prepare and how wonderful it tasted. It has become one our family's favorites! Hubby rated it a 4 stars!!! LOL
Orange Chicken
4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
2 T butter
2 tsps. cornstarch
2/3 cup orange juice
1/3 cup Heinz 57 sauce
1/4 cup orange marmalade
salt and pepper, to taste
Lightly flatten checken and saute' until done in butter, about 8 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. IN a small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in orange juice and then add marmalade and 57 sauce. Stir this into pan with chicken and cook while stirring until thickened. Serve immediately.
This recipe serves 4 but can easily be doubled or even tripled for a large family dinner. Honestly, this recipe is so easy you will feel guilty when the family gushes over how good it is, because you spent hardly anytime preparing it. It would take longer to bake a cardboard pizza than this yummy dish!!! |
