Today I was supposed to get my eyes checked and my friend Jennifer was going to watch Noah for me. But the appointment was canceled due to my eye doctor having the flu. I sure hope he feels better soon!
So, Jennifer and I decided to first, get together and exchange Christmas presents, and then to go to the local Amish town and eat lunch and do a little shopping. We had a good lunch but my oh my has anyone else noticed the serving sizes now a days are HUGE!!! I brought 2/3 of my meal home for later! We went to a quaint little fabric store because Jen wants to make a draft stopper to put in front of her front door. I bough a few things, but didn't really need much. We also visited one of the Amish owned stores there where I bought some metal cookie cutters, Noah picked out one that is a cat. That is one of his favorite words right now. lol After getting back to town we shopped at a local discount store and then came home.
The weather last week was tons of snow and ice. But today most of it has melted, it is a little muddy, and 52 degrees, It was nice to go out in just long sleeves or a light jacket today. We enjoyed the nice weather!!! But we had to keep an eye on Noah. lol He was just about to run into a nice mud puddle before I told him no. Typical little boy huh?
Tonight I will be working on a few projects for swap partners on my favorite craft site (actually things for their children beacuse it is a children's craft swap), and after that is over, I am going to have to stop swapping so much. I have decided to start on crafting for Christmas 2009 on January 1st. LOL Can you believe that? I have a schedule all drawn out, and if I do about 4 projects a month (one a week), I can get all that I want done by the first of November. That gives me a little room just in case something takes longer than expected to finish up any leftover projects in November and December. YEAH!!!!
