Thanks for your prayers ladies. I was SOOOOO nervous about going in today to get my tooth pulled (it was breaking off, so I knew it needed to be pulled). It didn't help that I was going to a different dentist either. He is the father of a classmate though, so he knew me, teased me and tried to take the pressure off by talking to me. His assitant was a sweetheart as well.
He decided maybe he should do what he had to now, and then pull the tooth right after the holidays because he didn't want to pull it and ruin my holiday weekend. I told him, if it was left up to me, I would pull it now. (Because I know me, and I was all geared up for the tooth pulling. I was afraid if he sent me home, I would chicken out and not come back until it was too late to pull it normally and I would have to have it cut out) So he agreed to pull it. He numbed me up good (still numb at almost 4 hours now) which I am thankful for.
It was a hard tooth to get out because it started crumbling on him as he was pulling it and 5 times he had to stop to get another tool. I was in the chair for a whole hour and although it wasn't shooting pain (since I was numbed) the pressure of him pulling and practically standing over me was painful. He kept telling me to open my eyes and stop clenching, but I didn't want to see the metal objects coming at my face. LMSO
Finally he got it out, and I am aching a little now that the shot is starting to barely wear off, but not nearly as much as I thought I would be in. I took some Tylenol a bit ago and I think I will be fine. I ate some mashed potatoes and a biscuit (I know...the carbs!! UGH! But it was nice and soft), and feeling better now too, since I was so nervous before my 1pm appointment that I couldn't eat.
The good thing??? I was nervous about the tooth and have all my chores in the house done!!! LOL I started the dishwasher and washed and dried a load of laundry before my appointment today. I also cleaned the bedroom, living room, dining room and bathroom and wrapped a few presents I had hidden for hubby. I fixed a large pot of chilli for supper last night, so we will have that again for supper knowing I might not want to cook today and knowing I would need something soft to eat. So I am going to catch up on some emails now and relax since Noah is taking a late nap today.
Thanks again for your prayers!
