We enjoyed our three day weekend very much. Matthew had Friday off for the holiday and we enjoyed just being around the house, all three of us together. Noah was excited to wake up and learn daddy was home!!! He just squealed and giggled when daddy walked into his bedroom to get him up that morning. We had alot of kid friendly "popper" type fireworks this year. The kind that you pull the string and it pops and confetti comes flying out. He had so much fun doing those with dad, adn watching the sparklers and other fireworkds that evening. Noah just turned two, and although he doesn't talk alot, he has some wonderful sign language skills. We make up our own signs and so does he. So when we had sparklers out, he would wave his hands and shake them in the hair like spirit fingers and wiggle his whole body. It was the cutest thing ever, and he made it up by himself. Matthew and I almost fell over laughing at the sight of him doing these. LOL
All three of us had a great time playing outside in the yard, raking leaves and burning them Friday as well. And Noah got to take a ride or two around the block in his new Radio Flyer wagon we got him for his birthday. Noah went to bed a little late Friday, because we wanted him to see the fireworks at night. He was so tired when we laid him down at 9 and went right to sleep despite his father, and many neighbors still setting off loud fireworks. The law in town says the fireworks are supposed to be done by midnight, but one of the close neighbors were still shooting off fireworks at 1:30 am!!!! LOL
Saturday was Jennifer's suprise birthday party at our house. Her mom, dad, and aunt arrived first, and then a few girlfriends. I was hoping a few more that were invited would show up, but I am sure they had good reason to not be here. Jen was suprised and loved all her presents and the princess pink decorations! LOL We laughed and laughed after eating cake at the stories of all of us girls growing up and the funny things we used to do to get into trouble while growing up together. (Such as the time we snuck in bottles of coke and sat on the back row of church drinking them and the youth director, who was preachign that evening. He said something about sinning and drinking in church in his sermon and we knew he had seen us sneaking drinks! LOL)
Matthew was called out to work (he is on call 24/7 with the internet department for the city, and when a tower goes down, he has to go reboot it. On the Fourth 2 large transformers went out in town and half of town was without electricity from 3 pm on the 4th, until 6am on the 5th, and this screwed up several towers over the weekend) 4 times this weekend to reboot an internet tower. We all cringe of course when his work cell phone goes off, but we also know it means overtime of 2 hours minimum even if it only takes him 15 minutes of work. I guess, we have decided to look on the bright side......thats a nice paycheck! LOL He has already gotten 9 hours of overtime on this paycheck. We plan on putting the extra money into our emergency fund to build it back up!
Our weekend was busy this weekend, but it was a great weekend, and we all enjoyed having Matthew home! I hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend with friends and family as well!

On the 4th we went to see family (no fireworks) and then when we got home from town and the people across the street were having quite the show! We sat in the swing and watched for about an hour while the boys slept inside. When we finally went to bed Roman Candles were hitting the outside of the house!
I'm a country girl so it all impressed me. :)
Oh, as for your question, we'll wait to be suprised with this baby, too! I suspect another boy, but I was wrong with both my other two! So we'll see. :)
Thanks for stopping by!
