The Cole Homestead

My stove ships today.

Today is to be the day that my stove ships out.  I have no idea how long it will take but I am looking froward to it arriving.  I ordered some moving straps from QVC (I am a HUGE Fan of QVC!)  They are designed so two people can lift up to 700 pounds.  Thanks goodness since my stove weights in at 570!  They should be here by next week and then we can move it in doors.  That is if my mat comes in.  We have to have a special mat designed to withstand high temps and not ruin the floor.  We are going to order it from Farm King but thing run a little slow there.  We will have to drive about an hour away to get the stove pipe but not a problem.  My husbands last day of work for the year will be the 17th and for only 6 hours.  After that he is off for the rest of the year.  Plenty of time to install the stove.  We have to wait to get the water coil though.  We could use this stove as soon as possible since today we got our first real "sticking" snow.

My four year old daughter had to go play in the snow first thing this morning.  She popped out of bed and went and put her snow boots on and informed me that she had to feed the reindeer.  Mind you she only had a night gown on besides the boots!  When I asked her what she was going to feed the reindeer she politely told me "snow".  How cute!  When she was fed and properly clothed out she went.  True to her word she filled every bucket she could find with snow.

I bet you are so excited for your stove to get there. What a Christmas present! How fun it would be to learn to cook on one. Enjoy!

I've looked at that company many times before. Sounds like a good one to order from.
So which stove did you get??? I am all in suspense waiting to see your pictures.
Good luck and be careful lifting that thing.

Blessings,
Debi
