Things I have learned from our little experiment

Well last time I was here I wrote about our little experiment of doing away with electricty.  We have decided to try using electricty but not from a conventional power source (no electric company).  Hubby has been coming up with some interesting ideas to help us complete this goal.  I need electricty for our wahing machine.  I know I could be using my washboard but I have normally considered this a decorative item.  We are a family of four with our youngest still in cloth diapers.  I am just not ready for that chore yet.  I will stick to our wringer washer.  We also left a night light going too.  There may be kinks to work out but I feel like we are getting there.
