Friday we went to the local Amish Bakery for a few cinnamon rolls and such. They had the garden fresh produce for sell too. So many potatoes, onions, watermelon and such. They also made some lovely Cherry Rolls. Instead of having cinnamon and sugar wrapped up in them they put homemade cherry filling and frosted as usual. So nummy! I made sure to get the kids another large bag of banana chips also. They just love love them and the dired ones last so much longer. I was able to get 5 pounds for 7 dollars. Well worth it in my mind. Anyway, as we were leaving we noticed a sign on the door stating that there was a new shop about 1/2 mile further down this counrt road that sold material and kitchen items. It was ran by another Amish family and had many wonderful items. I was able to get my daughter some tights which can be hard to find and even some hankies for me and straw hats for my uncles and flannel diapers for my son. Thier price on material could even give Wal Mart a run for thier money. I plan to make another trip on October 5 for my main Amish shopping trip. In the same area in the Amish Nursery and a Amish ran Furniture store. That is also the day before our Spoon River Senic Drive. The Spoon River valley in Central Illinois in fall is so pretty!
