GE food

I stumbled upon a website this afternoon. The True Food Network, a consumer site from The Center for Food Safety, goes "behind the label" to give the facts on genetically engineered foods.

if you're buying food produced by any of the following companies, you're most likely buying food which contains genetically engineered ingredients:

  • Aunt Jemima
  • Baker's (chocolate)
  • Betty Crocker
  • Bird's Eye
  • Bisquick
  • Cadbury
  • Campbell's
  • Carnation
  • ConAgra
  • Del Monte
  • Duncan Hines
  • Frito Lay
  • General Mills
  • Hershey's
  • Heinz
  • Hormel
  • Hunt's
  • Jiffy
  • Keebler
  • Kellogg's
  • Knorr
  • Kraft
  • Mars/M&M
  • Mrs. Butterworths
  • Nabisco
  • Nature Valley
  • Nestle
  • Ore-Ida
  • Pepperidge Farms
  • Pillsbury
  • Post
  • Stouffer's
  • Swanson
  • Quaker
  • Weight Watchers
  • Wonder (bread)

a more detailed list of foods that contain genetically engineered ingredients can be found at True Food Now  network

You know a few years or so ago I would have had no idea that would be a big deal, but now, my eyes are opened to the garbage that is out there and thankfully, I don't think I have any of those brands in my home now. Have a great day!
Blessings,
Chas
