Tuesday, February 19, 2008 - Hit the nail on the head!

I got this from a great friend, cleaned it up a bit and sent it on.  I hardly ever open forwards much less pass them on, and I really don't like it when the end of the forward tells me I have to send it to so many people to have some good fortune or something...  But this one just hit the nail on the head.  If you really think about it, our tuff friends are always the best of all.  They love us enough to tell us how the cow ate the cabbage and they do it in love even though they know we don't deserve it.  One of my good friends gave me a picture for the wall saying, "You'll always be my friend...  You know too much!"   Too true...  Thank God for Proverbs 17:17a and 18:24b  "A friend loveth at all times, ... and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother."  I don't know where I'd bee whithout these special blessings.

    True Friendship

 None of that Sissy Stuff!

 Are you tired of those sissy ‘friendship’ poems that always sound good, but never actually come close to reality?

 Well, here is a series of promises that actually speak of true friendship.  You will see no cutesy little smiley faces here, just the stone cold truth of our great friendship.

1. When you are sad – I will jump on the person who made you sad like a spider monkey.
2. When you are blue – I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you…
3. When you smile – I will know you are plotting something that I must be involved in.
4. When you are scared – I will pick on you about it every chance I get.
5. When you are worried – I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse it could be until you quit whining.
6. When you are confused – I will use little words.
7. When you are sick – Stay away from me until you are well again.  I don’t want whatever you have.
8. When you fall – I will point and laugh at your clumsiness

 This is my oath…  I pledge it to the end.  “Why?” you may ask; because you are my friend.

 Friendship is like wetting your pants, everyone can see it, but only you can feel the true warmth.
