Monday, January 21, 2008 - Hidden China Cabinet!

This is way cool!  We're having a new floor laid in the utility room and decided to do away with half of the coat closet (it's irritating hubby cause we stack stuff in front of the doors and can't get into it anyway...) and put built in shelves in the kitchen...  As he's taking the sheet rock off the wall he found an early 1900's china cabinet inside the wall!  I am so excited about this!  The top doors still look pretty good, just needing some old hinges and latch.  There is a place for a big drawer and lower cabinets, where we are going to put a nice shelf.  Anyway, with shelves inside and a nice trim around the outer edges, it's going to be beautiful!  The date on the sheetrock was 1929! Is this just the neatest thing or what?  Wow!  I just had to share.  I'll try to post pictures when it's done.
