Questions on our garden

I would like to grow strawberries. I was wondering if I could grow these in containers. If so what type would be the best. My second question is about potatoes. I would like to grow them, but dh thinks that they need alot of room. Could I possibly grow them in a small area?

Here is what we as a family have decided to grow in our garden:

grape tomatoes

regualr tomatoes

cucumbers

peppers

hot peppers

carrots

pumpkin(the kids want to do this one)

corn

watermelon

onions

Herbs:

garlic

basil

sage

stevia(if possible)

oregano

Next step we are going to do a paper layout of our garden. Then we will start on the front of the house so that we can get the azalea bushes out. I think that will take the better part of a month to get all of them out on dh's days off.

Stawberries and Potatoes

Ooooohhh I can help with this! We are getting ready to plant both of these. If your ground isn't ready you can plant Stawberries in hanging baskets, or in Strawberry pots.
The best way to find the easiest of directions is to do a Google search for planting Strawberries in pots. If your ground is ready, they like being planted in mounds, or hills, again Easy to do, and you can find easy to follow directions online.
Potatoes need very little room. We take chicken wire form it in a circle throw some dry winter leaves and other organic matter on the bottom, put our potato piece in, and cover it up with more leaves, as it sprouts up we cover it with more leaves. This is an easy to grow plant that needs next to nothing in care. People have done some very creative things planting potatoes including inside old tires...check out pictures online of course...Google!
