I'm Still Here

I have been busy lately but thought I would check in and say hello. My parents are here visiting and are half way through their month long visit. They started at my sister's house for the first two weeks and will come here tomorrow for their last two weeks. We have thoroughly enjoyed their visit so far and wish they would move here.

We have also been busy with baseball, Nick is on the tournament team and has been playing alot. Tomorrow is our final day but it will be a very long one with up to five games and at least two. We are supposed to reach 100 degrees here and so the day will be hot and long. The good part is that it is my little town so we can go home if needed between games or I can leave the girls home if the day gets too long. 

Today the kids lost their baseball in one of our overgrown fields and while searching discovered watermelons. I am so excited since the bunnies and goats finished my garden off. I 'll let you know if we ever get to harvest them.

We have taken another break from school while my parents are here and will start up again on August 4th. My sister, a friend, and I are going to do our own little homeschool group. We are going to plan field trips and share ideas about school. I am excited, when you homeschool it is important to keep it fresh for everyone, especially the mom  .

Well, I am exhausted so am going to say goodbye for now. I will write more soon.
