Yet another new babyI was hoping things would slow down this weekend, but that was not to be. On Friday my brand new niece was born. She was born a month early. She was induced, as her mom (my sil), was having problems with high blood pressure and severe swelling. Baby did wonderfully, and had no problems at all. Her mom was in labor for a day and a half, and is still having some issues. My "little" brother and his wife named this, their second child, Alexis Dee. Dee was my mother's middle name. She passed away last year. Alexis was 18 inches long and weighed 5 pounds and six ounces (not bad considering she was so early). I spent part of Thursday night and all day Friday at the hosptial, and was able to attend the birth at 6:04 p.m.What a beautiful, tiny little girl! What a time for babies! I have had more dealings with babies in the past few months than I had in the past few years. Two of the girls in my Sunday School class had babies within a month of each other. Than my best friend Nancy had a baby a month later. And now, a month later, my newest niece is born. Here is the doctor proudly holding his new delivery right after the birth.
And here is the proud papa, holding his wife's hand as they both looked at God's latest miracle.
And here are photos of the latest edition to our extended family.
