Making it Home

Trying a new recipe tonight ...

Tonight, I'm making Country Steaks for the first time. The recipe calls for 2lbs of ground beef, though I am using turkey - I'll have to let you know how that works out for us.We're also going to have Cheesey Garlic Mashed Potatos, and broccoli. For dessert ... I don't know yet. DD and I are baking sugar cookies today though - so maybe we'll stick with those ;-)
Ut-Oh - I just went to the web site where I get my sugar cookie recipe to post the link, and found this recipe featured on the main page - Easy Decadent Truffles Oh, that just sounds SO good!

Ok - I tried the recipe with the ground turkey. I ended up adding about 1/2 - 3/4 c. seasoned bread crumbs for the texture - I didn't measure. Other than that, I kept to the recipe and it IS a keeper :-)
Now I'm off to play a little and search for a new recipe to try :-)
