Cinnamon Fried Apples

1/3 Cup butter

1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar

1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. conrstarch

1/4 to 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1-1/2 cups water

4 apples, peeled, cored and halved

 

Melt butter in a 10 inch skillet over medium heat, stir in sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon, mix well. stir in water and apples and cook covered over medium heat for 12 to 15 minutes, or till apples are tender and sauce is thick. Spoon sauce over apples before serving.

This sounds almost amazing right now! My ds in my tummy is kicking around, and I think he wants some. I may try this recipe tonight!

Do you have a kind of apple you prefer? I like to use fuji apples for this kind of thing. We've not ever added the other ingredients but just put apples in with the butter over low heat and add sugar to taste. I like the way your recipe sounds though so next time we'll try it that way. Thanks for the idea!
