I read over on prariemom's blog how she met her husband, wonderful story, so now I will share mine.
Twelve years ago my husband (ex-husband now) felt that he wanted other things in life and left our family for a better life or so he said. I stayed with my mother for a few months and was about to get my own place when I went for a ride with my uncle just to get out of the house, he needed to stop by and look at some logs a friend had that he may be interested in buying. I saw this handsome rugged man climbing out of behind a huge stack of logs and asked who he was. Well as they were talking this man had a 4 year old daughter and she rode a 4 wheeler up to me and had a tape measure, she asked if I would measure how tall she was, and then she kept talking to me, she was a little raggamuffin...so dirty but the cutest lil thing I ever saw. She then told me she was hungry and asked if I would come make them supper, her daddy was really embarassed and scolded her for asking, I said that I wouldn't mind getting her something to eat if he was busy, but then my uncle said it was time to go. I later found out that his wife had left him several months before for another man and he was in the process of being divorced. A few nights later my uncle brought him to the diner in town where I waited tables and this man left me a 20.00 tip..hmmm maybe he is interested!! I know my uncle must of said something!! The next night he came in again, but with all 3 of his little ones in tow! and left me a 20.00 tip again. After dinner, the kids ran out and he and I visited a little on my break. A week later I invited him to my mothers for dinner, and we started seeing eachother. He was not a Christian at the time and had no such desire, but right before we were married he changed his mind and accepted Jesus Christ. We have been together for 10 years now, married for 7 and I found my true soulmate, It made all the pain that I went through when my first husband walked out on us worth it. Now...remind me to tell you how in the world we got his 3 children and my 3 to live in peace......lol!! Rie { Post a Comment } { Last Page } { Page 15 of 78 } { Next Page } |
