No Place like Home!!

I have been preparing for the past few days for dh cousin and his family to come back through this way on their way home.  They are coming in this evening and leaving on Monday morning.  I talked to the cousins wife lastnight and although she enjoys traveling to see relatives she is really wanting to get home.  So I tidied up the guest rooms, put nice clean towels in there and made some muffins and cookies and put a nice big roast in for dinner tonight.  I want to make them as comfortable as possible until they leave.  While I was getting things ready, I was thinking how no other place ever compares to being at home.  I enjoy cooking and cleaning and doing all these things for my family and feel lost if we are on vacation!

Updates on our Farm:   We have more hay on the ground, and are baling non stop today, as dh needs to help another farm down the road as they don't have any help at the moment.  We have 2 barns and one shed completely filled with hay, and starting on another.  We are considering going to the covered bales next year, I go into the barn to feed the pigs and I start to feel boxed in, lol!!  although the hay does smell great!    No rain in the forecast which is great, so they can keep working, and another pair of hands tommorrow will be great also!

I haven't been out to my garden in the last 2 days, so busy in here, tommorrow I hope to get out there, who knows what's waiting to be harvested now!!

Tommorrow we have 15 for dinner, all the kids and grandkids are coming up to see dh cousin and family, so I have plenty of cooking to start tending too!
