New Mercies

I read this in a cookbook that I have....beautiful!!!

New Mercies

After the sowing of springtime

    After the showers of rain,

Cometh the blossoms of summer,

Cometh the fruit and the grain.

After the summer comes autumn

And harvest of seed early sown;

    After the richness of autumn

A welcome of winter's white gown!

Just so our lives know unfolding:

    After each turn of our way

    Always a blessed revealing

Of God's new purpose each day.

New ev'ry morning His mercies,

    Never an end to His care;

After our pilgimage journey

    Fullness of glory to share.
