A cooler day and plenty of rain!

Such a great day here today! We are getting some much needed rain and a break from the heat and the humidity!  My garden will love all this rain!

This morning we got up early and met my mother and a friend of hers for breakfast at a small diner in town, it was really nice as we usually don't dine out at all.  After breakfast dh and I ran to get parts for our baler AGAIN....We need to buy a new one next year, we have put alot of money into this one this year, but it will finish out the season.

We also stopped at a few farmers markets and picked up some fresh fruit and vegetables.  Prices are really going up this year, I can't wait till my garden starts really producing for us, It went in late this year because of all the rain we had in May and June.

I just went into the pantry and noticed water on the floor, it has been raining so hard that the roof has started to leak, I sure love old farmhouses, but this one needs alot of work on it!

Well off to find something to make for dessert tonight, I have a ham in the oven and plan to make corn on the cob, baked beans and sweet potatoes for dinner!

Your blog is like a cool breeze. Very refreshing. It's 96 degrees here today and we're working on our deck and fence in the heat. Guess that doesn't say much for our common sense! Actually my husband works Mon. - Fri. and Sunday is church day, so we decided we'll sweat today. I have adult on-set asthma and I have never been a smoker, but I have an appreciation for healthy lungs, so I will pray that the Lord will defeat the addiction! We have been hot and dry here and your rain sounds lovely! Sorry about the leak though!
