Blessed with a simple life

Where else can you park your cars in the middle of a dirt road and visit with the only other person driving down that road.   While dh was visiting, I was thinking about how blessed we really are.  The simple things bring me alot of joy, I watched a rabbit with her baby hop along the side of the road, and a  few deer walking down the road.  Just the sounds of the birds, gave me so much peace.  Then I started to wonder if I had to live in the city if I would still be the same person as I am out here in the country.  I am not a complex person by any means and being way out here brings a sense of simplicity and peace that I had not know before.

After dh was done visiting we drove home and tended to the garden which needed alot of work, since it had been so hot the past week, the weeds sprouted up fast, but we worked till dark and it looks really good now, I even was able to find the spinich that is ready, so we will be having some of that tonight at dinner.

Today I have few plans, A friend wants me to go to a quilting store with her and then I am going to do some baking for lunches next week.  Then start working on a quilt top.

Your day sounded wonderful!!! Very peaceful. I enjoy driving out to my FIL's in the country. The boys and I like to walk through the woods and see what kind of animal tracks there are. :)

I enjoyed reading about your day...

I have to agree with you I love living in the country out of the city. We have kangaroos on our front lawn in the mornings. My children love looking out of their bedroom window to see them.

That is so funny this morning I was thinking the same thing while drinking my coffee in the back yard on my swing. About how different my life would be in town rather than out here. We are not even as far out in the country as we hope to be but still we are out there. The sounds of nature are so profound out here and in town they are replaced by cars, trucks, barking dogs, and people. UGH!

God Bless,
Tammy

Do you have a color scheme or pattern chosen for your quilt top? It seems that most small Montana towns have a quilt shop and they're all wonderful. Enjoy......Denise
