Vegetable stands......good grief!

I rode with dh today to go get some parts for our baler so he can be out baling hay this weekend, and we stopped at a few different vegetable stands.   At all of them Sweet corn was $5.00 a dozen, I couldn't beleive it.  I am so glad that we are growing more than we usually do this year.  Blueberries were $4.00 a pint.   I was just amazed.   I came home empty handed needless to say.   My garden went in late this year because of all the rain, but that is fine, I will wait a little longer!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

a fruit stand by me had a flat of raspberries for $48!!! I bought mine at the farmers market for 26... ran out and needed a pint midweek, so I bought some from that fruit stand, and they were nowhere NEAR as sweet, juicy or yummy as the cheaper ones. go figure.

Our local farmers markey has watermelons for $7.99, they are only $4.99 at the supermarket. Roadside peddlers are selling them for $3-$4. Doesn't make any sense to me! All of them are coming up fron the same fields in South Texas.
