I uploaded some pics onto my photos but it didn't post like I had hoped. I really just don't get this sometimes!! Ah well if you can I invite you to check out my photos and take a look - I would love to share! This morning it has been snowing so everything looks like a winter wonderland! Beautiful and cold! There are fires in both fireplace so the house is warm and toasty. So I thought I would play with my blog some more! I had a wonderful surprise this morning! Two of my favorite cats have been missing for about a month. I was really kinda upset about them being gone. One was Sheba who we rescued when she was very small, and the other was Mouse who is (was!) a shy little girl. Mouse was a beautiful calico with unique markings a lot similar to a leapord's spots. She has returned!! AND she let me hold her and love her for the first time ever!!! It was a great homecoming! I wondered if she had kittens but she is not "made up". I don't know what happened but she is pretty thin, covered in dried stinky muck, and incredibly grateful to be home! Merry Christmas! Hopefully Sheba will find her way home to us soon! I have been craving a day like today to just rest and relax. Read something wonderful, watch a great show.... eat something delicious! We will be having grilled steak and salad tonight. We just got our beef back from the butcher about 2-3 wks ago. This will be our first steaks in awhile - can't wait!! Well I hope your days are filled with love, hope and wonder! Attitude of Gratitude 1-snow 2-fireplaces 3-fuzzy socks and slippers 4- days at home 5-a creative mind 6-hands that can do stuff 7-peace! That is a BIG one!! 8-I am so grateful to be in God's capable hands. I feel safe, loved, protected and beautiful there. 9-women in my life who have taught me by example what it means to be strong, graceful, loving, sensible, fun, true, and most of all Godly. 10- men who have exemplified true honor, masculinity, leadership, nobility and love. |
I have missed this!! I can hardly believe that it has been soooo long since I have "blogged"! I stopped at first because I was very busy with my Christmas present for my parents and didn't want to accidently give anything away. Time slipped away and before I knew it... well here I am again!! I wanted to change things up a little and had some difficulties getting things the way I wanted but now I think I can live with it until I here back from the powers that be and my generous sil (I just love her!) can have her way with the looks of my blog. Actually this is kinda nice... I still don't love the sheep, I would rather have a calf, but hey.... it's not the end of the world!
Christmas came early this year for my parents. I redecorated their room and surprised them with the finished project in October! It is now warm and cozy, and they are very happy with it!! Next Saturday my brother's family will be coming through to stay in the area for about a week. I have to work all but one day that they will be with us, but I am blessed enough to have that one day and Christmas Eve when I can share them with the extended family. What is it about spending time with some people that just leaves you hungry for more? Heaven will be awesome! So many changes at my job... lots of personel changes! Most were good for the office and we have a lot of great people with wonderful attitudes. It makes it nice to come in. I still hope for a prince who will want me to raise children and animals! God knows who, where and when. Sometimes it is hard to just leave it all in His hands, but really that is best. Well not much really interesting to say and it's late and I am tired. Sooooo, a quick gratitude list and I'm off to dream!
Attitude of Gratitude 1- I love Christmas!! Minus all of the commercial hogwash!! The sweetness, the giving, the good will.... God's BEST was given to us. 2- laughter! 3-carolers 4-snowflakes (I personally believe they are a great example of God's infinite creativity!) 5- the smell of wet pine! 6-cinnamon 7-my dog 8- a big crackling fire 9- warm soup on a cold wet night 10- warm soft covers 11- stars 12- my blog! |
