My strawberry plants I order a couple of weeks ago came in yesterday. Now I just have to fix a place for them to be planted. I started on it yesterday afternoon but decided to wait until today to finish. I was using a hoe to dig up the ground and fix my mounds. Didn`t last long until my back and shoulder started hurting. DH went and bought gas for the tiller last night, so I am going to try and get it running today and use it. I order 50 plants but I am thinking about ordering another 25. I really don`t know much about growing strawberries, so I guess this will be a learning experience. Best days to plant strawberries is April 4 and 5.
The seeds I have so far:
Hot pepper, tabasco
Hot pepper, Super Cayenne 3
Hot pepper, Caribbean Red
Herb, Chives
Herb,Coriander/cilantro
Herb, Basil
Herb, Dill
Herb, Parlsey-Italian
Sunflower, skyscraper
Sunflower, mammoth
Beans, half-runner
Beans, Kentucky wonder
Beans, cornfield
Beets, Dark red
carrots, Danver half long
I will go to a local greenhouse for my plants. He usually has good prices and the plants are healthy. Well I guess, I had better go lots to do.

We ordered 50 plants and they have been in the ground for about 3 weeks now. They look great.
I am just having a time keeping my chickens out of them. (haven't found the time to put a fence around it.)
Isn't spring time great?
Happy gardening!
