I have been ordering the foxfire book series. I have a total of three now. One of the companies I order one of the book from send me another one as a bonus book. I thought that was really nice of them. I have been enjoying reading them. They have brought back so many memories for me when I was going up. I miss how things use to be. I remember my grandparents doing these thing that is in the books.
I still use a lot of old time natural remedies for us and our animals. I still do a lot of the same things that are in these books. I guess the world has changed I just haven`t.
I remember my grandmother putting apples outside on this tin thing my grandfather build for her. It was up high and she left the apples out in the sun for several days. Once the apples had dried, she then put them in several big jars. She used the dried apples to make dried apple stack cakes. She would make up a couple and keep them in the freezer. Everyone in the family enjoyed them. I keep telling my husband I am going to dry some apples and try making one. Maybe one day.
Can you share the companies that you bought the books from so that others can benefit from the, too? I've never heard of them and would love more info on them. I'm a true book-aholic :-)
I am a stay-at-home, Christian homeschooling mom. My husband and I have been married for 19 years. We have been blessed with three kids,ages 18, 10 and 8. We live on a family farm and have several animals. I`m just a simple farm gal, who loves her God, family, friends and life.
