I haven`t gotten to post for a couple of days. I have been busy trying to catch up on things in the house. Where I was sick for over two weeks, I am way behind. I am behind on everything. I hate getting off my schedule. I hope by next week things are back to normal. Well the check came in for the livestock market on the cattle we took off. All I can say two brought pretty good but one didn`t. The cow that was breed only brought .40 cents a pound. Not good at all. DH said because of the drought everyone is flooding the market because the price of grain and hay. Now the steer brought about .64 a pound and that is what we expected. Now the feeder calf brought about .80 a pound. Which was good but we were expecting more like .90. Oh well, we are thankful for what they did bring. Monday one of our cows horns, had a heifer calf. She decided she did want to take care of it. So now I am bottle feeding two calves. We still have one more cow due. I hope she takes hers. It gets expensive buy that powder milk for calves. Its like $40 for a 25 lb bag. It goes quick.
Well had some other stuff I wanted to post about but I forgot. Maybe later. sheryl
